NEW FIELD DEDICATED
Mayor Barrett and Superintendent Andrekopoulos were on hand for the April 24th dedication of the new athletic field, which will handle both football and soccer. Despite the success the football team has had over the years, the dedication marked the first time in the school's history of over 100 years that it will have its own field.
The field, at a cost of approximately $675,000, was made possible by donations and support from community partners, alumnae and other contributors, including the Tech Alumni Association, the NFL Grassroots program in conjunction with the Green Bay Packers, the Bradley Tech High School Commission, the Pettit Foundation, U.S. Senator Herb Kohl, Ab Nicholas, Dick Pieper, and Sheldon Lubar. Key community organizations involved include MPS, the City of Milwaukee, the Greater Milwaukee Committee, the Jane Bradley Pettit Foundation, the Bradley Foundation, the Helen Bader Foundation, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, the Journal-Sentinel, Inc., the Milwaukee Building and Trades Association, HGA Architecture and Rockwell International.
